Aleksandr Volfoviç: Belarus və Rusiya heç bir dövlət üçün təhdid yaratmır

Belarus and Russia do not pose a threat to any nation, but they will defend the territory of the Union State using all available means, State Secretary of the Security Council of Belarus Aleksandr Volfovich stated.

Speaking on the defense capabilities of the alliance, Volfovich noted that both Russian President Vladimir Putin and Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko have repeatedly emphasized this peaceful stance. Operative Information Center-OMM reports, quoting the State Secretary: "We are not a threat to anyone. However, we will defend our territory with all the means at the disposal of the Union State." He added that the deployment of Russian tactical nuclear weapons and "Oreshnik" missile systems in Belarus has significantly strengthened strategic deterrence within the Union State.

"If any of our Western colleagues previously doubted and thought this was a bluff, they were wrong. The nuclear forces exercise conducted under the leadership of the two presidents proved to everyone that this capability exists and will be used to protect our national interests in the event of aggression against the Union State," Volfovich emphasized.

The Union State of Russia and Belarus, established by a treaty in 1999, aims to integrate the economic, customs, and military systems of the two neighboring nations. In recent years, amid rising geopolitical tensions in Eastern Europe, Minsk and Moscow have significantly intensified their defense cooperation, conducting joint military drills and integrating their regional military groupings to counter perceived external security challenges.
