In Okinawa Prefecture, local authorities have suspended classes in schools as a precautionary measure against the severe weather conditions. The Japan Meteorological Agency has issued urgent warnings regarding destructive winds and high waves, urging residents to remain vigilant due to the heightened risks of landslides, flooding, and overflowing rivers.
Currently, the center of the typhoon is located approximately 50 kilometers north of Minamidaito Island, with maximum wind speeds reaching 216 kilometers per hour.
