Five individuals have been arrested in the city of Shirvan on charges of organizing illegal drug trafficking. The operation was carried out by officers of the Shirvan City Police Department as part of ongoing measures to combat the distribution of narcotics in Azerbaijan.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the detainees have been identified as Ali Gurbanov, Kamil Huseynov, Nijat Gozalov, Abil Mammadov, and Ilkin Hashimov. During the search operations, law enforcement officers discovered and seized a large quantity of methamphetamine, heroin, and marijuana from the suspects. Criminal cases have been initiated regarding the facts, and the court has ordered pre-trial detention for all five individuals as the investigation continues.
