Despite ongoing international efforts to maintain a ceasefire, military operations in the Gaza Strip continue to result in civilian casualties.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, citing reports from the Gaza Civil Defense Authority, the Israeli military targeted a residential home belonging to the al-Masri family on al-Salasin Street, located in the southern part of Gaza City.
Reports confirm that the strike resulted in the deaths of a Palestinian mother and her four children—three daughters and one son. Emergency response teams, including fire and rescue brigades, were deployed to the scene to extinguish the fire caused by the strike and recover the bodies from the rubble.
It should be noted that military operations in the Gaza Strip persist despite the ceasefire agreement that entered into force on October 10, 2025. The conflict, which has been ongoing since October 2023, has resulted in a severe humanitarian crisis, with the death toll in the region reportedly exceeding 73,000. Despite repeated calls from the international community for a lasting peace, civilian casualties continue to rise as the situation remains volatile.
