Iran's Minister of Education Alireza Kazemi has announced that 310 students and teachers have been killed in military operations conducted by the United States and Israel in the country since late February.

Operative Information Center-OMM reports via the Mehr News Agency that the conflict has resulted in significant casualties within the educational sector.

The minister noted that more than 750 schools have sustained damage during the hostilities, while over 200 students and teachers have suffered various degrees of injuries. Kazemi further stated that Iran has formally appealed to UNESCO and UNICEF, demanding justice for Iranian children and international recognition of the impact on the nation's educational infrastructure.

The escalation of military tensions in the region has drawn significant international attention as humanitarian organizations warn of the growing impact on civilian populations. Educational institutions, often protected under international humanitarian law, have become focal points of concern as the conflict disrupts the schooling of thousands of children across the affected regions. This latest report underscores the deepening humanitarian crisis and the increasing pressure on global bodies to mediate and provide aid to the civilian victims of the ongoing hostilities.
