According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, citing the "The War Zone" (TWZ) portal, the security protocols were significantly bolstered to ensure the safety of the head of state.
Reports indicate that on Sunday, August 9, "AN/TWQ-1 Avenger" short-range air defense missile systems were deployed in the vicinity of the area where US President Donald Trump was present. Footage circulating on social media shows the US President playing golf, with military equipment surrounded by barbed wire visible in the background. White House officials confirmed the authenticity of the images to "The War Zone."
The security measures also extended to airspace control. According to the report, US Air Force F-16 fighter jets intercepted several aircraft that violated the temporary flight restriction zone imposed over the golf club that day.
The deployment of advanced military assets, such as the Avenger air defense system, underscores the rigorous protective measures standard for the US President. The Avenger system is a mobile surface-to-air missile system designed to provide protection against cruise missiles, unmanned aerial vehicles, and low-flying aircraft.
