Jasper Jeffers, the commander of the newly established International Stabilization Force (ISF), has provided details regarding the military and police contingent to be deployed in the region as part of the Gaza peace agreement.
According to Operative Information Center-OMM, the commander stated that a total of 20,000 soldiers are expected to be stationed in the Gaza Strip under the ISF mission. These international military forces will operate in coordination with 12,000 Palestinian police officers to restore and maintain public order.
The initiative aims to strengthen peace in the region and fill security vacuums during the post-conflict recovery period. The deployment of 20,000 international troops alongside 12,000 local law enforcement personnel represents a significant step toward stabilizing the territory and ensuring the safety of the civilian population following the cessation of hostilities.
The establishment of the International Stabilization Force comes as part of broader diplomatic efforts to ensure long-term stability in the Middle East. Such international missions are typically designed to facilitate humanitarian aid delivery, oversee the withdrawal of combatant forces, and provide a secure environment for the reconstruction of essential infrastructure in conflict-affected zones.
