The signing ceremony for the charter of the Peace Council for the Gaza Strip is scheduled to take place on January 22 during the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, Switzerland.

Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the information was released by Barak Ravid, a correspondent for the U.S.-based Axios portal. The journalist also shared a photograph of the official invitation sent by US President Donald Trump to various heads of state and government.

According to the report, invitations to join the Peace Council have been extended to several global leaders. The list of invitees includes Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, and other heads of state.

The Peace Council for Gaza is an intergovernmental organization that will operate under the leadership of the United States. The primary objectives of the Council are to strengthen stability in conflict zones, restore legitimate and reliable governance, and contribute to the establishment of sustainable peace in the region.

The initiative to establish the Council was first proposed by US President Donald Trump in September 2025, with the formal announcement of the organization's founding made on January 15, 2026. Under Resolution 2803, drafted by the U.S. and adopted by the UN Security Council in November 2025, the Peace Council is authorized to support governance processes, reconstruction efforts, and post-war economic recovery in the Gaza Strip.

The World Economic Forum in Davos, where the signing will occur, serves as a premier global platform for political and business leaders to discuss pressing international issues. The inclusion of the Gaza Peace Council charter signing in the forum's agenda underscores the international community's commitment to finding a multilateral solution for regional stability and humanitarian reconstruction.
