An official lunch has been hosted on behalf of President Ilham Aliyev in honor of the President of the Republic of Latvia, Edgars Rinkevics, in Baku.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the event took place on April 22 as part of the Latvian leader's official visit to the Republic of Azerbaijan. The lunch followed high-level meetings where the heads of state discussed the current state and future prospects of bilateral cooperation.
Diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and Latvia have historically been characterized by strong partnership and mutual support within international organizations. As a member of the European Union, Latvia remains a key partner for Azerbaijan in the Baltic region, particularly in areas of trade, transport, and energy security. High-level visits of this nature are instrumental in advancing the strategic dialogue between Baku and Riga, further solidifying the ties between the two nations.
