Individuals suspected of stealing six engines with a total value of 11,000 manats have been detained in the Khatai district of Baku.
The Operative Information Center-OMM was informed by the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) that unidentified persons stole six water and electric motors from the courtyard of a company located within the district. As a result of operations carried out by officers of the 37th Police Station of the Khatai District Police Department, the suspects, identified as M. Naghiyev and R. Ibrahimov, were identified and apprehended. Preliminary investigations revealed that the detained individuals had sold the stolen equipment to a scrap metal collection point.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Azerbaijan, under the leadership of Interior Minister Vilayat Eyvazov, continues to prioritize the prevention of property crimes and the protection of commercial assets across the country. Law enforcement agencies in Baku have recently increased surveillance and operational measures to combat the theft of industrial and utility equipment, which can cause significant financial losses to local enterprises.
