Weather conditions in Azerbaijan are expected to change sharply on February 10, with snow forecast for various regions, including the capital.

The National Hydrometeorological Service informed the Operative Information Center-OMM that precipitation is anticipated in Baku and the Absheron Peninsula, transitioning into sleet and snow in some areas. Intense precipitation is likely throughout the day, accompanied by a strong north-west wind.

In the capital, the temperature will range between 1-4 degrees Celsius during both day and night. Atmospheric pressure is set to rise significantly from 756 mm Hg to 767 mm Hg, while relative humidity will fluctuate between 80-85%. In the regions of Azerbaijan, intermittent precipitation and snow are expected, with fog and strengthening western winds forecast for certain areas. Temperatures in the regions will range from 0-5 degrees Celsius at night to 5-8 degrees Celsius during the day, while mountainous areas will see lows of 3-8 degrees below zero.

The National Hydrometeorological Service, an agency under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, regularly monitors atmospheric conditions to provide early warnings for public safety. Such sharp shifts in weather during the winter months are typical for the Caspian region, often influenced by cold air masses moving from the north. Authorities advise drivers to remain cautious as roads are likely to freeze, particularly in mountainous and foothill districts, during the night and morning hours.
