Heavy traffic congestion has been observed on several central roads and main arteries in Baku.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the Intelligent Transport Management Center (ITMC) has released official data regarding the current traffic flow in the capital.
According to the latest reports, the traffic situation on the capital's roads is as follows:
- Baku-Sumgait highway — in the direction of the "20 January" metro station;
- Binegadi highway — in the direction of the "Azadliq Avenue" metro station;
- 8 November Avenue — from the intersection with Suleyman Ahmadov Street towards the city center;
- Ziya Bunyadov Avenue — from the intersection with Ahmad Rajabli Street to the intersection with Ataturk Avenue;
- Babek Avenue — in the direction of the city center;
- Mikayil Mushfiq Street — from the "Badamdar" circle towards School-Lyceum No. 20;
- 28 May Street — from the intersection with Pushkin Street to the intersection with Rashid Behbudov Street;
- Tbilisi Avenue — from the "20 January" metro station towards the city center;
- Afiyaddin Jalilov Street — congestion is observed in the direction of Yusif Safarov Street.
The Intelligent Transport Management Center monitors the traffic flow in Azerbaijan's capital in real-time to ensure the efficient movement of vehicles and public transport. Such congestion is typical during peak hours in Baku, as the city continues to expand its infrastructure to accommodate increasing vehicle numbers. Authorities recommend that drivers use alternative routes where possible to avoid delays and ensure smoother transit through the city's primary transport hubs.
