Temperatures are expected to reach 35°C across Azerbaijan on August 28, according to the latest forecast.
The Operative Information Center-OMM reports, citing the National Hydrometeorological Service, that the weather in Baku and the Absheron Peninsula will be variably cloudy and primarily rainless. A north-westerly wind is expected to strengthen at times.
In the capital, nighttime temperatures will range between 21-24°C, while daytime temperatures are forecasted to reach 27-29°C. Atmospheric pressure is expected to be 757 mm Hg, with relative humidity levels at 70-75% at night and 50-55% during the day.
Across the regions of Azerbaijan, the weather is expected to be mostly dry. However, intermittent rain is forecasted for some mountainous and foothill areas. There is a possibility of short-term, intense downpours, lightning, and hail in isolated locations. Fog is expected in some mountainous areas during the night and morning hours, with westerly winds strengthening in certain regions.
Temperatures in the regions will range from 20-25°C at night to 30-35°C during the day. In mountainous areas, temperatures will be 12-17°C at night and 20-25°C during the day.
The National Hydrometeorological Service regularly monitors weather patterns across the country to provide timely updates to the public, particularly during the summer season when heatwaves and sudden meteorological shifts are common in the region.
