The State Social Protection Fund, operating under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population, has fully completed the payment of pensions across Azerbaijan for January.
The Ministry informed Operative Information Center-OMM that the process concluded following the final transfers made to recipients in various regions. According to the official statement, funds for pensioners residing in Baku, Sumgait, the Absheron district, and the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic were disbursed earlier on January 13.
The final phase of the monthly cycle was completed today, covering individuals residing in other cities and districts of the country, as well as those receiving pensions granted on preferential terms. Citizens can now withdraw their funds from the ATMs of relevant banks using their bank cards. The Ministry noted that all pension payments were executed through the electronic system in accordance with established regulations.
The State Social Protection Fund of Azerbaijan is responsible for the administration of the mandatory state social insurance and pension system. In recent years, Azerbaijan has undergone significant digital transformations in its social security sector, automating the appointment and payment processes to ensure transparency and efficiency. These monthly disbursements are a key component of the government's social welfare policy, aimed at maintaining the social well-being of the country's retired population.
