Rainy and windy weather conditions are continuing across various regions of Azerbaijan, with significant wind speeds and precipitation recorded in several areas.

According to information provided to the Operative Information Center-OMM by the National Hydrometeorological Service, a strong north-westerly wind is currently prevailing. The maximum wind speed has reached 28 m/s in Baku and the Absheron Peninsula, 23 m/s in Goranboy, 19 m/s in Naftalan, and 16 m/s in Shabran.

The amount of precipitation recorded stands at 12 mm in Shahbuz, 9 mm in Griz, 8 mm in Khinalig, and 3 mm in Ordubad and Tartar. Meanwhile, 2 mm of rainfall was recorded in Goygol, Shamakhi, Astara, Aghdam, Julfa, and Nakhchivan. Other regions, including Shusha, Khankendi, Kalbajar, Lachin, Qubadli, Fuzuli, Khojali, Ganja, and Sumgait, recorded approximately 1 mm of precipitation. Furthermore, thick fog has been observed in Shusha, Khankendi, Griz, and Lerik, where visibility has been restricted to 500 meters.

Such weather patterns are characteristic of the seasonal transitions in the South Caucasus region. The National Hydrometeorological Service of Azerbaijan regularly monitors atmospheric changes to provide timely alerts for the population and relevant state agencies. Strong winds in the Absheron Peninsula often necessitate increased caution for maritime activities in the Caspian Sea and construction work in the capital. Authorities recommend that citizens stay informed through official channels and avoid standing near tall trees or temporary structures during high-wind warnings.
