Warm, summer-like weather forecast for Azerbaijan

On May 27, Azerbaijan is expected to experience warm, summer-like weather conditions, with temperatures reaching up to 30°C in some regions.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the National Hydrometeorology Service has released the latest forecast for the country.

In Baku and the Absheron Peninsula, the weather is expected to be variably cloudy and mostly rainless, though there is a slight possibility of short-term rain in some areas during the morning. A north-west wind will shift to a south-east wind during the day. Temperatures are forecast to range between 17-19°C at night and 23-28°C during the day. Atmospheric pressure is expected to rise from 757 mm to 763 mm of mercury, with relative humidity levels fluctuating between 50% and 80%.

Across most of Azerbaijan, the weather is expected to remain largely dry, though some eastern districts may see precipitation during the day. Forecasters warn of potential short-term, intensive rain, accompanied by lightning and hail in isolated areas. Fog is expected in some locations during the night and morning hours, with occasional strong westerly winds.

Temperatures across the country are expected to reach 14-18°C at night and 25-30°C during the day. In mountainous regions, temperatures will range from 6-11°C at night to 17-22°C during the day, with some areas reaching up to 25°C.

The National Hydrometeorology Service, which operates under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan, regularly monitors meteorological changes to provide timely updates for the public and agricultural sectors, ensuring preparedness for fluctuating weather patterns.
