Azerbaijan issues weather warning for hail and snowfall

Weather conditions in Baku and the Absheron Peninsula are expected to be variably cloudy tomorrow, with intermittent rain forecast for some areas during the day. According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the National Hydrometeorology Service has issued a weather advisory regarding the upcoming atmospheric changes.

Meteorologists indicate that the precipitation in some parts of the peninsula may take the form of short-term heavy showers, accompanied by lightning. A moderate south-westerly wind is expected to shift to a strong north-westerly wind during the day. Temperatures are projected to range between 20-23°C at night and 28-32°C during the day, with evening temperatures dropping to 26°C. Atmospheric pressure is expected to rise from 753 mm to 758 mm of mercury, with relative humidity levels between 60-70%.

Across the regions of Azerbaijan, intermittent rain is expected in various districts. Forecasters warn of intense, heavy showers, lightning, and the potential for hail. Precipitation is expected to intensify in the evening, with snowfall possible in high-mountainous areas. Fog is also expected in some mountainous regions during the night and morning hours. Temperatures in the regions will range from 18-23°C at night to 30-34°C during the day, while mountainous areas will see cooler temperatures, ranging from 12-17°C at night to 18-23°C during the day.

The National Hydrometeorology Service, operating under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan, regularly monitors meteorological conditions to ensure public safety and provide timely warnings for agricultural and transportation sectors across the country.
