19 ton "Şedroe Leto" yağı satışdan çıxarılır

The Food Safety Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (AQTA) has identified serious non-compliance in 19 tons of vegetable-based spread imported from the Russian Federation. The products were found to contain hazardous substances that do not meet the country's food safety standards.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the spread was produced by the "Jirovoy Kombinat" enterprise and imported into Azerbaijan by "Oba Market" LLC. Laboratory testing of the "Shedroe Leto" brand (82.5% fat content, 1kg packaging) revealed the presence of "3-monochloropropane-1,2-diol (3-MCPD)" and "glycidyl fatty acid esters." The affected batch includes products with production and expiration dates between January 24, 2026, and September 21, 2026. Following these findings, AQTA has issued a formal decision to remove the shipment from the customs territory for disposal or destruction.

The Food Safety Agency of Azerbaijan continues to implement strict control measures over imported food products to ensure they align with national health regulations. AQTA's monitoring processes are designed to safeguard the domestic market from low-quality goods and to maintain high standards of public health across Azerbaijan. This enforcement action highlights the agency's ongoing commitment to food security and the protection of consumer rights within the Republic.
