İtaliyanın 27 şəhərində qırmızı xəbərdarlıq elan edildi

A severe heatwave has prompted authorities in Italy to issue a red alert across 27 major cities, signaling the highest level of danger due to extreme temperatures. According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, citing international media reports, the persistent heat is significantly disrupting daily life across the country.

The Italian Ministry of Health released an updated bulletin confirming that the level 3 red alert, which previously covered 25 cities, has now been extended to include two additional urban centers. Meteorological forecasts indicate that temperatures in these affected regions are expected to climb as high as 40 degrees Celsius, with the heatwave projected to persist for at least another week.

The Ministry emphasized that a level 3 red alert signifies that prolonged high temperatures pose a severe health risk to all segments of the population, not just vulnerable groups such as the elderly, children, or those with chronic illnesses. This marks the fourth major heatwave to impact Italy this year, a recurring climate phenomenon that has previously resulted in heat-related fatalities across the nation.
