The United States national debt has increased by more than $406.5 billion over the three-month period following the commencement of military operations against Iran and the subsequent naval blockade. This information was released by the US Treasury Department, as reported by the Operative Information Center-OMM.

It should be noted that on February 28 of this year, the United States and Israel began conducting strikes against targets within Iran. Washington and Tehran subsequently declared a ceasefire on April 8.

Data provided by the US Treasury Department indicates that one day prior to the start of the operation, on February 27, the total amount of public debt stood at $38.769 trillion. According to the latest figures released by the Treasury on May 30, this amount has risen to $39.176 trillion.

Consequently, following three months of active military engagement and the transition to a naval blockade, the US national debt has surged by $406.5 billion. The US national debt is a critical economic indicator, reflecting the total amount of money the federal government has borrowed to cover budget deficits, which often fluctuate based on military spending, fiscal policy, and economic conditions.
