The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkey has announced its support for the temporary ceasefire agreement reached between the United States and Iran.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the ministry released an official statement regarding the diplomatic breakthrough.
"We welcome the decision on a temporary ceasefire regarding the conflict in the region. We emphasize the importance of the full implementation of the temporary ceasefire on the ground and hope that all parties will remain committed to the agreement reached. The path to lasting peace is only possible through dialogue, diplomacy, and mutual trust," the statement read.
The ministry further noted that Turkey will continue to provide all necessary support for the successful conclusion of the upcoming negotiations in Islamabad. "We congratulate brotherly Pakistan for its role in this process and wish for the continuation of all initiatives contributing to peace," the MFA added.
The agreement comes at a critical time for regional stability, following intensive diplomatic efforts led by Islamabad to de-escalate tensions between Washington and Tehran. Under the leadership of US President Donald Trump, the United States has engaged in various strategic dialogues aimed at securing regional security. This ceasefire is viewed by international observers as a significant step toward broader diplomatic engagement in the Middle East and South Asia, highlighting Pakistan's growing role as a mediator in global geopolitical conflicts.
