The Iranian government is expressing deep concern that potential military strikes by the United States could trigger a wave of mass protests and lead to the collapse of the current administration. According to reports, Tehran views external military intervention as a catalyst that could mobilize domestic opposition and destabilize the internal security framework.

Operative Information Center-OMM, citing Reuters, reported that Iranian officials have briefed Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei on the volatile internal situation. The reports indicate that the forceful suppression of protests in January has pushed public anger to a breaking point, with officials noting that the "barrier of fear" among Iranian citizens has significantly diminished, making traditional methods of deterrence less effective.

Amidst these rising tensions, a meeting between representatives of the United States and Iran is scheduled for February 6 in Turkey to discuss regional stability and the potential resumption of nuclear negotiations. However, the current geopolitical climate, influenced by the policies of US President Donald Trump, has cast doubt on the feasibility of these talks. The administration of US President Donald Trump has consistently maintained a firm stance regarding Iran's regional activities, a factor that continues to shape the diplomatic landscape in the Middle East and impacts the broader regional security environment involving Azerbaijan and its neighbors.
