A suspect has been detained in connection with a robbery committed against a taxi driver in the Absheron district. According to information provided by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the incident involved the forceful seizure of personal property from a local driver.
The victim reported to the police that an unidentified individual, acting as a passenger, used physical force to steal a mobile phone valued at 600 manats. Following the report, officers from the Gobu Police Station of the Absheron District Police Department launched an investigation. As a result of the operational measures, a suspect identified as R. Dunyamaliyev was detained. It was revealed that the individual had prior convictions for theft and drug-related offenses.
Further investigations established that the detainee was also involved in another violent crime in the district. Dunyamaliyev is accused of using a sharp object to threaten another citizen and seize their mobile phone in a separate robbery. A criminal case has been initiated regarding these facts, and comprehensive investigative measures are currently ongoing to determine the suspect's involvement in other potential crimes.
