The Plenum of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Azerbaijan has convened for its latest session to address critical issues regarding judicial practice and the application of legislation.
According to information provided to the Operative Information Center-OMM by the Supreme Court, the agenda featured discussions on several key draft decisions aimed at standardizing judicial approaches across the country.
During the session, participants reviewed a draft decision regarding the application of legislation in disputes arising from construction contracts. Furthermore, the Plenum discussed a draft decision concerning the monitoring of court activities related to the implementation of the July 7, 2026, Plenum decision on contract dispute resolution. Additionally, the court analyzed a report on the monitoring results regarding the application of the February 20, 2023, Plenum decision on judicial practice in cases involving the legalization of proceeds from crime and related financial offenses.
The Plenum also deliberated on a draft decision concerning judicial acts that impose obligations on administrative bodies to adopt specific administrative acts, taking into account the court's legal position. A corresponding decision was adopted regarding the monitoring of judicial activities in this area. These plenary sessions are essential for ensuring the uniform application of laws throughout Azerbaijan, providing lower courts with clear guidance on complex legal matters, and enhancing the overall efficiency and transparency of the judicial system.
