A total of 166 citizens, including 17 minors, have been evacuated to safe areas following intensive rescue operations in Baku and several other regions of Azerbaijan. The emergency measures covered the Nizami, Sabunchu, Khazar, Binagadi, Surakhani, and Sabail districts of the capital, as well as Sumgait, and the Absheron, Hajigabul, Khizi, Shabran, and Khachmaz regions.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations provided this information to the Operative Information Center-OMM. According to official reports, specialized teams are currently conducting intensive safety measures across the affected zones. Rescuers are primarily focused on water drainage operations and the evacuation of residents who remain in need of assistance due to the rising water levels.
