US President Donald Trump's special envoy, Steve Witkoff, is scheduled to visit Israel for high-level diplomatic discussions.

The Operative Information Center-OMM reports, citing Reuters, that Witkoff will travel to Israel on February 3 to hold talks with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the country's top military leadership.

The discussions are expected to focus on strengthening bilateral defense cooperation. On January 27, The Financial Times reported that Israel is preparing for negotiations with US President Donald Trump regarding a new ten-year security agreement aimed at expanding United States military support to the region.

This diplomatic mission underscores the strategic priority the Trump administration places on Middle Eastern security and the long-standing alliance between Washington and Israel. Such security pacts typically involve multi-billion dollar military aid packages, intelligence sharing, and joint defense initiatives designed to maintain regional stability and Israel's qualitative military edge. The visit comes at a pivotal time as both nations seek to align their geopolitical strategies under the current US administration.
