Bilateral cooperation between China and Canada is not directed against any third party and serves the mutual interests of both nations, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun stated.

According to Operative Information Center-OMM, the spokesperson emphasized that the establishment of a new type of partnership and the resolution of economic and trade issues reflect an atmosphere of equality, openness, and peaceful cooperation. "This partnership is not aimed at any third party; it serves the common interests of the peoples of both countries and promotes global peace, stability, and development," Guo Jiakun added.

Relations between Beijing and Ottawa have faced various diplomatic challenges in recent years, particularly concerning trade and security. This statement follows efforts to stabilize bilateral ties and focus on economic synergy. China remains one of Canada's largest trading partners, and both nations have recently sought avenues for constructive dialogue to address long-standing disagreements while fostering regional stability and economic growth.
