Occasional rain is expected in Baku and across various regions of Azerbaijan on April 9, according to the latest weather forecast. Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the National Hydrometeorological Service has issued an update regarding the upcoming atmospheric conditions.
In Baku and the Absheron Peninsula, the weather is expected to be changeably cloudy and occasionally overcast. While the day will remain mostly dry, there is a possibility of rain in some areas toward the night. The north-east wind will be replaced by a mild north-west wind during the day. Temperatures in the capital are forecasted to range between 8-10°C at night and 14-17°C during the day. Atmospheric pressure will rise from 757 mm Hg to 762 mm Hg, with relative humidity staying between 60-70%.
In the regions of Azerbaijan, precipitation is expected to start in the northern and western districts. Forecasters predict that the rain may intensify in specific areas, accompanied by lightning, hail, and snow in higher mountainous terrains. The precipitation is expected to gradually cease by the evening, though fog may occur in several locations. The western wind is also predicted to strengthen occasionally in certain districts. Temperatures in the regions will be 6-11°C at night and 14-18°C during the day, while mountainous areas will see 3-8°C at night and 8-13°C during the day.
The National Hydrometeorological Service of Azerbaijan regularly monitors atmospheric changes to provide accurate data for the public and relevant state agencies. Such seasonal weather fluctuations are typical for the spring period in the South Caucasus, where maritime and continental air masses frequently interact, leading to varied precipitation patterns across the country's diverse topography.
