Russia is set to deliver a new shipment of propane to Armenia, utilizing transit routes through Azerbaijan. According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, a cargo consisting of 7 rail cars, totaling 242 tons of propane, is scheduled to depart from the Bilajari station toward the Boyuk Kasik border crossing on August 24.
This shipment is part of ongoing regional logistics operations. To date, significant volumes of goods have been transported from Russia to Armenia via Azerbaijan, including over 50,000 tons of grain, nearly 9,000 tons of fertilizer, 1,172 tons of propane, 133 tons of aluminum, 1,114 tons of coal, and 67 tons of timber. Additionally, Azerbaijan has facilitated the export of approximately 15,000 tons of diesel fuel and nearly 5,000 tons of AI-92 and AI-95 gasoline to Armenia.
The use of Azerbaijani transit corridors underscores the country's strategic role in regional connectivity. By leveraging its extensive railway infrastructure and geographic position, Azerbaijan continues to serve as a vital transit link for trade between neighboring states, contributing to regional economic stability and the development of international transport corridors.
