Humanitarian aid from the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation is scheduled to arrive at the Absheron railway station in Baku tomorrow for subsequent delivery to the Islamic Republic of Iran.
According to the Russian Embassy in Azerbaijan, as reported by the Operative Information Center-OMM, the shipment consists of more than 300 tons of essential medical supplies. Upon arrival at the station, the humanitarian cargo will be loaded onto trucks and transported by road to Iran.
This logistical operation highlights Azerbaijan's growing role as a strategic transit hub in the International North-South Transport Corridor (INSTC). By facilitating the movement of humanitarian and commercial goods between Russia and Iran, Azerbaijan continues to strengthen its position as a key intermediary in regional cooperation and international logistics. The Absheron station serves as a vital link in this network, ensuring the efficient transfer of goods across the Caspian region.
