Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has officially expressed his support for the decision by the country's Supreme Leader to initiate international negotiations.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, citing the IRNA news agency, President Pezeshkian emphasized that this diplomatic step is being taken to ensure the interests of the Iranian people.
The head of state noted that the primary objective of official Tehran is to defend the country's rights and strengthen Iran's position on the international stage. In this context, the Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) is tasked with taking all necessary measures to implement the negotiation process effectively.
President Pezeshkian stated that the government and relevant institutions will not allow any actions contrary to Iran's national interests during the talks. The transparency of the process and its alignment with the country's strategic goals remain top priorities for the administration.
The Supreme National Security Council, which oversees Iran's foreign policy and security strategies, plays a critical role in coordinating these diplomatic efforts. This development comes amid ongoing regional tensions and international scrutiny regarding Iran's nuclear program and broader geopolitical stance in the Middle East.
