Intermittent lightning and rainfall have been observed across various parts of Azerbaijan, with precipitation taking on a short-term, torrential character in specific areas.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that this update was provided by the National Hydrometeorological Service as of 11:00 on July 6.
According to the latest data, rainfall measurements recorded include 20 mm in Khizi, 18 mm in Khaltan, and 15 mm in Lerik. Precipitation levels were also noted at 4 mm in Shusha and Shahdag, and 2 mm in Kalbajar and Fuzuli. Additionally, 1 mm of rainfall was recorded in Sharur, Shahbuz, Ordubad, Dashkasan, Gadabay, Shamkir, Tovuz, Gusar, Tartar, Yardimli, Astara, Aghdam, Zangilan, Lachin, Qubadli, Khankendi, and Khojaly.
The National Hydrometeorological Service continues to monitor the situation closely, as intense rainfall in mountainous and foothill regions often poses a risk of flash flooding in local river basins. Authorities advise residents in these regions to exercise caution and follow safety protocols issued by the relevant emergency services during adverse weather conditions.
