Russian President Vladimir Putin and Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko are continuing their high-level negotiations in Moscow today.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the Kremlin confirmed that the discussions are ongoing, with plans for expanded-format meetings involving broader delegations.
President Lukashenko arrived in Russia on June 26. The two leaders held extensive talks yesterday at the presidential residence in Valdai, beginning with a one-on-one session before proceeding to discussions with their respective delegations.
Russia and Belarus maintain a close strategic partnership, primarily through the Union State of Russia and Belarus, an integration project aimed at deepening political, economic, and military ties between the two nations. These frequent high-level consultations often focus on regional security, economic integration, and coordination of foreign policy amidst the evolving geopolitical landscape.
