The National Hydrometeorological Service has released the weather forecast for the Absheron Peninsula beaches for August 17.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, beachgoers can expect moderate weather conditions across the coastal areas of the capital.
Meteorologists report that a moderate north-westerly wind is expected throughout the day. Sea water temperatures are forecast to reach 24-25 degrees Celsius at northern beaches, including Sumgait, Novkhani, Pirshagi, Nardaran, Bilgah, and Zagulba. Meanwhile, southern beaches, such as Turkan, Hovsan, Sahil, and Shikh, will see slightly warmer waters ranging between 25-26 degrees Celsius.
The Absheron Peninsula, which includes the capital city of Baku, is a primary recreational hub for residents and tourists during the summer months. The National Hydrometeorological Service regularly monitors these coastal conditions to ensure public safety and provide accurate data for those planning leisure activities along the Caspian Sea coastline.
