Heavy traffic congestion is currently being observed on several major roads and avenues in Baku. According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the Intellectual Transport Management Center (NIIM) has released an official update regarding the current flow of vehicles in the capital.
The Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the following routes are currently experiencing significant delays:
- Heydar Aliyev Avenue, main road, in the direction of the city center;
- 1st Gol Kenari road, towards Ziya Bunyadov Avenue;
- Ziya Bunyadov Avenue, from the intersection with Muzaffar Narimanov Street towards "20 January" metro station;
- Baku-Sumgait highway, in the direction of "20 January" metro station;
- Tbilisi Avenue, from "20 January" metro station towards the city center;
- 8 November Avenue, from the intersection with Suleyman Ahmadov Street towards the center;
- Binagadi highway, towards "Azadliq Avenue" metro station;
- Sabunchu-Zabrat highway, in the direction of "Koroglu" metro station.
The Intellectual Transport Management Center (NIIM) monitors traffic flow in Azerbaijan's capital using a network of cameras and sensors to optimize urban mobility. Such congestion is typical during peak hours in Baku, as the city continues to expand its infrastructure. Drivers are advised to consider these delays and utilize alternative routes where possible to ensure timely arrival at their destinations.
