On July 15, Slovak President Peter Pellegrini, who is on an official visit to Azerbaijan, visited the Alley of Honor to pay tribute to the memory of Heydar Aliyev, the National Leader and architect and founder of the modern independent state of Azerbaijan.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the Slovak President laid a wreath at the grave of the Great Leader.
President Peter Pellegrini also expressed his respect for the memory of prominent ophthalmologist and academician Zarifa Aliyeva, placing fresh flowers on her grave.
The memories of the renowned statesman Aziz Aliyev and Professor Tamerlan Aliyev were also honored during the visit.
The Alley of Honor in Baku serves as a burial site for prominent Azerbaijani figures, including politicians, scientists, and cultural icons. Visits to this site are a customary part of official diplomatic protocols, symbolizing respect for the nation's history and its foundational leadership.
