President Ilham Aliyev has signed a decree awarding Gurban Saidovich Gurbanov the "Dostluq" (Friendship) Order.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the official document states that the award is granted in recognition of Gurban Saidovich Gurbanov's services in developing humanitarian and educational relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Dagestan of the Russian Federation.
The "Dostluq" Order is a prestigious state award of the Republic of Azerbaijan, established to recognize individuals who have made significant contributions to strengthening friendship and cooperation between Azerbaijan and other nations, as well as for achievements in various fields of public life. This recognition highlights the ongoing commitment of the Azerbaijani government to fostering strong cultural and educational partnerships with neighboring regions, including Dagestan, which shares deep historical and cultural ties with Azerbaijan.
