Prime Minister of Cambodia Hun Manet is expected to visit Azerbaijan, marking a significant step in the diplomatic relations between the two nations.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, this development was highlighted during a meeting where President Ilham Aliyev received the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Cambodia to Azerbaijan, Sok Chean, on July 17.
During the meeting, both sides expressed confidence that the upcoming visit of the Cambodian Prime Minister to Azerbaijan will create favorable opportunities for the further development of bilateral relations, particularly in the political and economic spheres.
It should be noted that the primary purpose of the visit is to participate in the VII Summit of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA), which is scheduled to be held in Baku this October. CICA serves as a pivotal intergovernmental forum aimed at strengthening cooperation and promoting peace, security, and stability across the Asian continent.
