Gio Cristofoli, BP's regional president for Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Turkey, has sent a congratulatory letter to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the message reads:

Your continued support, as well as the reliable and strategic partnership established with SOCAR and the Government of Azerbaijan, plays a crucial role in the successful implementation of these projects.
We are confident that our long-term partnership with SOCAR will continue to expand over the coming decades, creating new opportunities for cooperation both within the Caspian region and beyond.

BP has been a cornerstone of Azerbaijan's energy sector since the signing of the "Contract of the Century" in 1994. The company has played a pivotal role in the development of the Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli (ACG) oil field and the Shah Deniz gas field, which are critical to the country's economic growth and Europe's energy security through the Southern Gas Corridor.
