Joshgun Zulfugar oglu Sadigov, a soldier of the Land Forces serving in an "N" numbered military unit of the Ministry of Defense, has passed away at the Central Clinical Military Hospital. According to reports, Sadigov had entered military service on January 26, just ten days prior to his death. Relatives of the deceased soldier have alleged that he suffered from severe tuberculosis, raising questions regarding the circumstances of his conscription.

In a statement to the Operative Information Center-OMM, military expert Adalat Verdiyev noted that conscripts undergo medical examinations one to two months before being sent for service. He explained that while results are processed, new health issues can sometimes emerge. "Conscripts are subjected to additional medical and physical checks not only by the regional departments of the State Service for Mobilization and Conscription but also by the specific branches of the military they are assigned to," Verdiyev stated. He emphasized that the exact cause of death will be determined following a thorough investigation, and any individuals found negligent will be held accountable under the laws of Azerbaijan.

The Ministry of Defense and relevant investigative bodies are currently looking into various versions of the incident, including claims of illness, psychological distress, or other factors. In Azerbaijan, the conscription process is strictly regulated by the State Service for Mobilization and Conscription, which oversees the periodic call-up of citizens for active military duty. The military justice system typically handles cases of non-combat deaths to ensure transparency and maintain discipline within the armed forces. Currently, no official version has been confirmed, and authorities urge the public to wait for the final results of the investigation.

"It is not correct to place responsibility on anyone without official results. However, in any case, those responsible for this incident will definitely be identified and punished," Adalat Verdiyev added.
