The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued a statement regarding an agreement reached with Azerbaijan concerning the consequences of an AZAL aircraft incident.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov addressed the matter during a press briefing in Moscow.
The Kremlin official noted that the Russian MFA's statement on the subject was sufficiently detailed and required no further elaboration. "Extensive information has already been provided regarding yesterday's statement by the Foreign Affairs Ministry; there is nothing more to add," Peskov told reporters.
The agreement follows high-level diplomatic communication between Baku and Moscow aimed at resolving technical and legal aspects of the incident involving Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL). Such cooperation underscores the ongoing bilateral engagement between the two nations in the fields of aviation safety and crisis management. Azerbaijan and Russia maintain a comprehensive strategic partnership, frequently coordinating on regional transport and security issues through established intergovernmental commissions.
