Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has stated that the Washington summit held on August 8, 2025, effectively ended Armenia's isolation and opened significant new opportunities for the nation. According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, these remarks were made in an address marking the first anniversary of the trilateral meeting between the leaders of Azerbaijan, Armenia, and the United States.
While acknowledging the progress made, Pashinyan emphasized that the implementation of the peace agenda remains an ongoing process. "Until August 8, 2025, our state was in a deadlock; after August 8, limitless perspectives opened before us. Whether we utilize them depends on our collective will," the Prime Minister stated.
Pashinyan identified the "Trump Route" (TRIPP) project as one of the most critical outcomes of the Washington summit. He asserted that the initiative is poised to become a cornerstone of both the national and regional economies. "In the near future, we will begin the practical implementation of TRIPP, and this will be a major regional and international event," Pashinyan added.
The Armenian head of government further noted that the chapter of conflict between the two countries has been closed, and peace is increasingly becoming a part of the daily lives of citizens. The Washington summit, hosted by US President Donald Trump, was widely viewed as a pivotal moment in facilitating diplomatic dialogue between Baku and Yerevan, aiming to foster long-term stability in the South Caucasus region.
