The recent developments regarding the peace process between Armenia and Azerbaijan are "incredible," Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated during a high-level event in the United Arab Emirates.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that Pashinyan made these remarks during the presentation ceremony of the "Zayed Award for Human Fraternity" held in Abu Dhabi. The Prime Minister emphasized that the event serves as a significant milestone in the diplomatic relations between the two nations.
"This ceremony is not just a celebration of the peace agreement. It is also a confirmation that the page of conflict has been turned by Armenia and Azerbaijan. Otherwise, it would be meaningless for the President of Azerbaijan or me to come here and accept this honor. This also represents the support of the international community, as the decision was made by a Judging Committee with a list of highly respected members from all over the world. I want to express my gratitude to the Judging Committee. Dear friends, your decision undoubtedly strengthens peace in our region, and I thank you for that. This award was jointly established by His Eminence the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar and His Holiness the Pope. This fact symbolizes the support of the Muslim and Christian worlds," Pashinyan noted.
The Zayed Award for Human Fraternity is an independent global award that recognizes individuals and entities for their contributions to peaceful coexistence. The participation of President Ilham Aliyev and Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan at the ceremony in Abu Dhabi follows significant diplomatic progress toward a final peace treaty, aimed at ensuring long-term stability and economic integration in the South Caucasus region. The involvement of international religious and political figures highlights the global significance of the normalization process between Baku and Yerevan.
