Export routes through the territory of Azerbaijan are open for Armenian businesses, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced during a government hour in the Armenian parliament.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports, citing Armenian media, that the Prime Minister emphasized the availability of these transit opportunities for the private sector. "We have received guarantees for this at the highest level," Pashinyan noted during his address to the lawmakers.
The opening of regional transport communications is a key component of the ongoing normalization process between Azerbaijan and Armenia. Following the 44-day war in 2020, the restoration of economic and transport links in the South Caucasus has been a central theme of trilateral discussions. Azerbaijan has consistently advocated for the unblocking of regional infrastructure, including the Zangezur corridor, which is expected to enhance connectivity and economic integration across the entire region, benefiting all stakeholders through increased trade volume and logistics efficiency.
