A delegation led by Pan-African Parliament President Fatah Butbiq, who is visiting Azerbaijan, has visited the Alley of Honor and Victory Park.
"Operative Information Center-OMM" reports that the Milli Majlis (National Assembly) Press and Public Relations Department provided the information.
At the Alley of Honor, Fatah Butbiq paid tribute to the memory of Heydar Aliyev, the national leader and architect and founder of the modern independent Azerbaijani state, and laid fresh flowers at his grave.
As part of the visit, the delegation also visited Victory Park in Baku and laid bouquets of flowers at the monument.
The guests were briefed on Victory Park, which was established to preserve the memory of the Azerbaijani people's unparalleled heroism and historic victory in the Patriotic War and to commemorate the country's martyrs.
During the visit, the delegation was accompanied by Shahin Ismayilov, chairman of the Milli Majlis (National Assembly) Committee on Youth and Sports, and other officials.
Victory Park is among the memorial sites in Baku dedicated to commemorating Azerbaijan's wartime victory and honoring those who lost their lives in the conflict.
