The Chamber of Accounts of the Republic of Azerbaijan has submitted materials regarding three state entities to the Prosecutor General's Office following audit investigations conducted over the past year.
According to Operative Information Center-OMM, this information was disclosed in the "Report on the Activities of the Chamber of Accounts for 2025." The document is currently being deliberated during today's meeting of the Milli Majlis (National Assembly) Committee for Economic Policy, Industries, and Enterprising.
The report specifies that legal measures have been initiated based on audit results from 2025, involving investigations into funds totaling 0.8 million manats. Furthermore, investigations into two additional audits are currently ongoing to ensure full accountability and transparency in the management of state resources.
The Chamber of Accounts serves as the supreme audit institution of Azerbaijan, reporting directly to the Milli Majlis (National Assembly). Its primary mandate is to exercise external state financial control, ensuring the efficient and lawful use of the state budget and public property. These recent referrals to the Prosecutor General's Office underscore the government's commitment to strengthening financial oversight and combating potential irregularities within state-funded organizations.
