The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has officially announced that it will not permit the use of its airspace, territory, or territorial waters for any potential military operations or strikes against Iran. This decision underscores the Gulf nation's commitment to regional stability and its policy of non-interference in escalating military confrontations.

Operative Information Center-OMM reports that this position was detailed in a formal statement published on the official website of the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The ministry emphasized that Abu Dhabi remains firmly opposed to the escalation of military tensions and advocates for the preservation of peace and security within the region.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs further highlighted that de-escalation and respect for state sovereignty are the most effective pathways for conflict resolution. This diplomatic stance comes amid heightened regional tensions. Notably, reports recently surfaced suggesting that Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei had moved to a secure underground bunker in Tehran due to the perceived risk of potential strikes by the United States. These reports indicated that the decision followed warnings from high-ranking military and security officials regarding the security environment.

The UAE's position is significant as it hosts several key military facilities and maintains strategic partnerships with Western powers. By clarifying its neutral stance, the UAE aims to prevent being drawn into a broader regional conflict. Historically, the UAE has sought to balance its security alliances with a pragmatic diplomatic approach toward Tehran, focusing on maritime security and economic stability in the Persian Gulf, a vital corridor for global energy supplies.
