Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has declared that military operations carried out in coordination with the United States are directed against the "existential threat" posed by the Iranian regime.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, Benjamin Netanyahu emphasized that the conducted airstrikes aim to end the danger created by the Iranian ayatollah regime. The Prime Minister noted that these attacks are of strategic importance in preventing risks directed against the existence of the State of Israel.
Providing information regarding the targets hit by the Israeli military, Netanyahu detailed the scale of the operation as follows:
- Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC): Severe blows were dealt to the organization's military infrastructure.
- "Basij" forces: Centers of Iran's volunteer paramilitary units were targeted.
- Ballistic missile bases: Strategically significant missile sites were destroyed to weaken Tehran's missile potential.
This operation is assessed as one of the harshest steps taken against Iran's military power and command structure during a period of escalating regional tension.
