Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa has extended his congratulations to President Ilham Aliyev on the occasion of Azerbaijan's Independence Day.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the letter states:
"May the peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah be upon you. It gives me great pleasure to convey my sincere congratulations and best wishes to Your Excellency on the occasion of the Independence Day of the Republic of Azerbaijan. I wish you good health and happiness, and continued progress and prosperity to the friendly people of Azerbaijan. Please accept the assurances of my highest consideration."
Diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and Bahrain have been characterized by mutual respect and cooperation within international organizations, including the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.
