The State Agency of Azerbaijan Automobile Roads (AAYDA) has commenced urgent restoration work on the Bibiheybat road, which sustained damage following recent intensive rainfall.
The agency informed the Operative Information Center-OMM that preventive measures are being implemented to mitigate additional risks in the area. The primary objective of the ongoing restoration works is to reinstate the road's structural stability and ensure the safety of motorists and pedestrians alike.
According to the agency, a new roadbed and base are being constructed in strict accordance with "Construction Norms and Regulations." Following the completion of the foundation, a new asphalt pavement will be laid. Furthermore, the project includes the installation of specialized drainage systems designed to efficiently divert surface water and prevent future erosion or flooding issues.
The Bibiheybat area serves as a critical transport artery connecting the southern entrance of Baku with the city center. Given its geographical location near the Caspian coast, the infrastructure in this zone requires specialized engineering solutions to withstand environmental factors. These repair and restoration efforts are expected to be finalized within a short period to minimize traffic disruptions in the capital.
